Imperx Cheetah CameraLink CLF-C6420-T

Highlights

The Cheetah CLF-C6420-T is our most technically advanced, ruggedized, progressive scan digital camera in a compact design ideal for industrial, scientific, medical, aerospace, transportation, and other applications. The C6420-T incorporates a number of unique features tailored to reduce system complexity, maximize interface bandwidth, and expand the usable operational range.

The camera is equipped with a thermoelectric Peltier cooling module (TEC) to stabilize the image sensor temperature. The TEC module maintains the image sensor temperature at the user-specified setpoint for temperatures up to 20 °C below heat-sink temperature. Decreasing the image sensor temperature minimizes dark current and the number of hot pixels improving image quality for long exposure imaging. Stabilizing the image sensor temperature also reduces variability caused by dark current variation increasing the camera’s precision in metrology applications. A built-in forced air-cooling system increases the efficiency of the TEC and automatically cycles on/off as needed.

The C6420-T features the Sony Pregius IMX342 Global Shutter CMOS image sensor with a native resolution of 6480 x 4860 in an APS-C optical format delivering up to 17 frames per second with CameraLink® Full Power over Camera Link (PoCL®) output. The camera has excellent sensitivity, fast frame rates, exceptional dynamic range, and supports strobe outputs, trigger inputs, automatic exposure, automatic gain control with multiple LUTs, and other high-value functions.
