Highlights

The Vivid Engineering CLV-402 CameraLink Video Splitter interfaces one CameraLink camera to two frame grabbers using standard CameraLink cables. This enables the use of a second frame grabber for applications requiring parallel or distributed processing, monitoring, etc. One frame grabber acts as a master and provides control and communications to the camera. The second frame grabber receives camera video data only. The CLV-402 video splitter incorporates high-speed 85 MHz interfaces and supports all CameraLink configurations (base, medium, full) including 80-bit extended mode. Multiple CLV- 402s may be cascaded to support 4 or 8 frame grabbers. The CLV-402 also acts as a high-speed (85 MHz) repeater, doubling the maximum distance between camera and frame grabber. This product incorporates the standard (MDR) connector.  CameraLink cables are readily available with the standard (MDR) connector on one end and the mini (HDR/SDR) connector on the other.  Note that the Vivid Engineering CLV-402 does not support PoCL. Housed in a sturdy compact aluminum enclosure, the CLV-402 CameraLink Video Splitter is well suited for industrial environments.
