Highlights

The Vivid Engineering CLR-111A CameraLink Repeater is an economical approach for increasing separation between camera and frame grabber.  One CameraLink cable pair connects the camera to the repeater, and a second cable pair connects the repeater to the frame grabber.  This arrangement provides a 20-meter reach between camera and frame grabber using standard 10m CameraLink cables.  Several repeaters may be cascaded to support greater distances. The CameraLink extender incorporates high-speed 85MHz interfaces and is compatible with all CameraLink configurations (base, medium, full, 80-bit).  Front-panel status LEDs identify an active base, medium, or full configuration connection. This product incorporates the standard (MDR) connector.  CameraLink cables are readily available with the standard (MDR) connector on one end and the mini (HDR/SDR) connector on the other.  Note that the CLR-111A does not support PoCL. Combining the CLR-111A with shorter (i.e. 5m) cables provides separation while ensuring data integrity in high-performance applications. The Vivid Engineering CLR-111A CameraLink Repeater is housed in a sturdy, compact aluminum enclosure.

The CLR-111A incorporates the connectors, signals, pinout, and chipset in compliance with the CameraLink specification. The CLR-111A regenerates all the “full” configuration signals, consisting of video data, camera control, and serial communications. The video interfaces utilize high-speed (85 MHz) Channel Link devices.
