Highlights

The Vivid Engineering CLB-501B CameraLink breakout box provides convenient access to the data transferred between camera and frame grabber over a CameraLink connection. All video, control, and communication data can be monitored and/or sourced via a standard header connector located on the rear panel. The Vivid Engineering CLB-501B incorporates high-speed 85MHz interfaces and is compatible with all CameraLink “base” configuration cameras. A front-panel link status indicator identifies an active connection. The Vivid Engineering CLB-501B is housed in a sturdy, compact aluminum enclosure. A locking-plug power supply is optional.

The Vivid Engineering CLB-501B can be combined with the CLR-111A Repeater to make a breakout for medium, full, or 80-bit configurations. Running the “base” cable through the CLB-501B and the “full” cable through the CLR-111A will equalize the video path delays at the frame grabber. Additionally, the Vivid Engineering CLB-501B can be combined with an inexpensive adapter for communication support via a standard DB9 RS-232 port to access the camera through the RS-232. This also supports communication with the frame grabber and the ability to monitor communication between camera and frame grabber.
