The VMOBT-10.4 Series is an optically-bonded touch screen LCD monitor, designed to dramatically improve view-ability in sunlight and other high ambient light conditions. The optical bonding process injects an optical-grade epoxy between the surface of the LCD panel and the outer protective glass, eliminating the air gap between the two. This eliminates two reflective surfaces, and drastically reduces image wash-out due to internal reflections. The outer glass surface also has an Anti-Glare coating. The net result is a dramatic reduction in unwanted reflections, and a tremendous increase in contrast ratio, making the monitor much more suitable for use in brightly lit areas and daylight outdoors. Optical bonding also provides other benefits such as increased ruggedness and durability, prevents condensation or fogging, and makes the outer glass shatter-proof. Learn more about optical bonding. The TRU-Tuff process includes RTV silicone on all connections and critical components; all wires are dressed, tie-wrapped, and secured; and ThreadLock on all screws ensuring maximum shock and vibration resistance. TRU-Vu monitors are backed by our full 3-Year Warranty.
