Highlights

Gardasoft’s VLX2 series of LED water-cooled Line Lights provide ultra-bright, uniform lighting focused to a narrow beam, and are ideally suited to Web Inspection and Surface Inspection line scan illumination applications. The limiting factor in many Line Scan systems is the intensity of the Line Light being used. With the high-intensity of the Gradasoft VLX2 Series LED lighting, the Line Scan acquisition can run many times faster than with conventional air-cooled LED lights allowing the highest production speeds and/or the highest resolution images. The VLX2 range of LED line lights is designed to thermally manage the LEDs ensuring a maximum lifetime of the light whilst gaining maximum emission from the LEDs. This thermal management allows the liquid-cooled lights to output up to 2.3 Million Lux.

The Gardasoft VLX2 Series also gives you the ability to profile the light. Along its length, the LEDs are controlled in sections that you have complete control over. If your application requires flat field correction, you can increase the light intensity at each end of the light offering you true flat field correction rather than compromising with software adjustment. There are two options for the optics; short working distance optics (37mm) or long working distance (adjustable between 90-150mm) which will give you a highly homogeneous line 3mm wide at the subject. For highly reflective or specular surfaces, an additional holographic diffuser film can be added to the optics to further enhance the line profile. The VLX2 range of lights is available in a standard range of lengths and wavelengths and is compatible with Line Scan cameras such as Basler, Dalsa, and E2V.
