Advanced Illumination DF198 MicroBrite™ Diffuse Ring Light
Highlights
Advanced Illumination DF198 is a MicroBrite™ diffuse ring light designed to provide multi-angle machine vision illumination from a single light head. Its curved diffuser supports diffuse dark field illumination at shorter working distances and diffuse bright field illumination at longer working distances, allowing the lighting geometry to be adjusted by changing the relationship between the light and the inspection surface.
Features
Bright Field & Dark Field Illumination
— The curved diffuser supports medium-to-low-angle dark field illumination at close working distances and diffuse bright field illumination when positioned farther from the target.

Diffuse Multi-Angle Output
— Soft, distributed illumination can reveal surface features while reducing the highly directional appearance of conventional direct ring lights.

Illumination Geometry
Diffuse Dark Field
At working distances less than or equal to the light diameter, the DF198 provides diffuse medium-to-low-angle illumination for highlighting surface irregularities and raised or recessed features.
Diffuse Bright Field
At working distances greater than the light diameter, the curved diffuser can provide soft bright field illumination across the inspection surface.
Visible & RGB Options
Available illumination options include white, 455 nm blue, 530 nm green, 625 nm red, and RGB.
Control & Integration
Control Options
Available configurations include C1, C5, IC, I3, I3S, and direct 24 V operation, subject to configuration restrictions.
