Standard Firewire IEEE-1394 Cables are widely available. However, for most industrial applications the use of locking screw connectors is an industry standard. Saber1 can manufacture cable options for high flex and environmental specifications or any combination of Firewire IEEE-1394 Cables. We can also supply the most common cables from stock. The FireWire standard cable length is typically 4.5 m. however, custom cables depending on the bandwidth needed, distances of 20 m is possible with FireWire A.

Bit Maxx Long Distance CameraLink Cables (MVP-EP)

Technology

Bit Maxx technology utilizes pre-emphasis and equalization to extend the distance between camera link cables. Equalization is an analog technique that reverses the cable’s low-pass effect with a high-pass filter to recover and restore the original signal. Pre-emphasis is a unique signal-improving technique that opens the eye pattern at the far end of the cable for point-to-point applications. It adds additional output current during the bit’s transition time.
