The Smart Vision Lights R130-LP is used to help to reduce specular reflections from shiny, nonmetal surfaces. Smart Vision Lights’ polarizer material has a typical transmission of about 40% while blocking about 60% of the light not in the plane of polarization. The polarizer is placed in front of the light and is available as an option with our visible wavelength lights. It is not recommended to use with continuous operation with certain wavelengths (e.g., white, blue) as it may damage the polarizer due to focused light/high flux zones at the light’s output window. UV LEDs and SWIR require a special polarizer. The R130-LP Linear Polarizer is compatible with R130 and ODR130 “EZ-Mount Ring Light” and includes die-cut Polarizing Film as well as any necessary hardware required to mount.
